Friday morning the Fox Valley Winnie Golfers played golf at the
local golf course while others enjoyed a campfire and the
fellowship as we greeted the coaches as they were arriving.
Friday evening after a wonder chili supper sponsored by the
campground we gathered at the recreational hall to played Penny
Bingo. On Saturday the golfers once again played golf while the
rest of us enjoyed Bocce Ball, a campfire and our visitors
appreciated looking back on some fond memories of Barb
Bergstedt’s hard work in maintaining the scrapbooks and history
of the club. On Saturday evening a social hour was held followed
by a business meeting and dinner. Our meal consisted of everyone
grilling their own meat with baked potatoes and tossed salad
provided by the wagonmasters and some awesome desserts by Jean
Hess. Following dinner, we all enjoyed the Kentuckiana Opry
Family Night. Family members of the opry band performed as
guests – there is some great talent among the young ones. After
our traditional Sunday breakfast, prepared by our men, most of
the coaches headed out for home after a great weekend of various
