Al and Sandy Oswald started the Fox Valley Winnies’ outing season by hosting a luncheon at Sam Houston’s Char House in Bartlett, IL Twenty members attended, starting off their lunch with snack cups provided by Al and Sandy. They enjoyed catching up on each others’ activities so much that they didn’t want to stop to visit the buffet table, Al reported. The group brought food and durable goods for the Schaumburg Food Pantry. Bob Gardner outlined plans for the breakfast the Chapter will prepare for the State meeting April 25-27. Chuck and Sue Borcher, Bob and Laurie Dukes and Wally and Lorraine Metzer will be Wagonmasters for the April 11-13 outing at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park and Resort in Goodfield, IL. Nearby Conklin’s Dinner Theater will perform the musical, “G.I. Joe Jukebox” that weekend. Bob and Edna Gardner, Ken and Shirley Poupa, Ray and Carol Smith and Bill Menefee are orchestrating an outing May 16-21 starting at Shipshewana South Campground in Shipshewana, IN and proceeding to Berrien Springs, MI for the FMCA Glass Rally. Memorial: Estel (Sherm) Schermerhorn, W103664, passed away December 25, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma.
